We are excited to announce that Rézme will soon become the exclusive commercial license holder of Restorative Records, an innovative fair chance hiring technology developed at Cornell University. This transformative tool, recently featured in the Cornell Chronicle, helps job seekers with criminal records provide meaningful context about their background, education, and rehabilitation journey to potential employers.
Originally created by Cornell's Criminal Justice and Employment Initiative (CJEI), Restorative Records is already making waves in the academic sector, with Cornell HR implementing it across their campuses and plans for adoption throughout the SUNY system. Through our upcoming technology transfer agreement, Rézme will bring this powerful solution to the broader commercial market.
With over 70 million Americans having a criminal record and employment being a critical factor in reducing recidivism, we believe this technology will play a vital role in creating more equitable hiring practices while helping employers tap into an often-overlooked talent pool.
Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare to integrate this groundbreaking technology into our platform. You can read more about CJEI’s work here.
